COMPOSER

As far as my music is concerned, the themes of space and landscape can be found already in my early compositions. I can easily recall specific references to places or landscapes that served as the main inspiration for a given work. These inspirations are born directly from the observation of nature, its forms and organisms and from constantly changing atmospheric phenomena. In each composition, I try to develop various sonic worlds; I directly refer the decisions regarding the shaping of forms and structures to the broadly understood space and visual contexts. To me, however, it is important for my music not to be associated with illustration: the inspirations I write about, despite their apparent directness, are only a starting point, a capture of a given moment, detail, shape or multiple layers, for example, of a mountain range or cliffs growing out of the sea. Abstraction, imaginary worlds, the aspect of outer space or of a space existing only on canvas are also important contexts shaping the contents of my compositions. The choice of the right colour palette for both the musical composition and the visual work is equally important to me.
