Duo : Karałow/Noetinger

This is the first artistic meeting of two such very different personalities : Andrzej Karałow, pianist and composer, and Jérôme Noetinger, experimenter and musical legend. Together, the Karałow/Noetinger duo will explore musical spaces, using such tools as: prepared piano, synthesisers, analogue tape effects and the legendary Revox reel-to-reel tape recorder. You can expect not only planned – even compositional – activities, but also improvisations. The plan is to go beyond conventional music genres, combining elements of noise, ambient, experimental and creative music. The final material will be recorded and released by the Crossroads Centre on vinyl and digital.

The Karałow/Noetinger duo will present the effects of their collaboration during an extraordinary live concert to be held on 11 May 2024 at 7pm in the Władysław Szpilman Studio of the Polish Radio. The concert will be hosted by Ewa Szczecińska.

A rebroadcast of the concert will take place on the night of 18-19 May (at midnight) in the programme Nocna Strefa on Polish Radio Programme 2.

The organiser of the residency, recordings and concert is the Crossroads Centre. Polish Radio Programme 2 is co-organiser of the concert.
