Chromatophonic\u00a0is a new ensemble \u2013 a piano trio project \u2013 which focuses on music of XX and XXI century including the search for a new works and premieres.<\/p>\n
Members of Chromatophonic are renowned musicians professionally connected to universities (Fryderyk Chopin University of Music) as well as to renowned orchestras such as Warsaw Philharmonic.<\/p>\n
The piano trio presents a repertoire not only with contemporary music, but also works from earlier periods: classical, romantic and early-XX century.<\/p>\n

ROKSANA KWA\u015aNIKOWSKA\u00a0an award-winning artist who has excelled in prestigious competitions both in Poland and on international level (e.g. Tibor Varga International Violin Competition in Sion, 1st Karol Szymanowski International Music Competition in Katowice,Beethoven’s International Music Competition Hradec,\u00a0Michal Spisak International Music Competition in D\u0105browa G\u00f3rnicza, International Tadeusz Wronski Solo Violin Competition).<\/h4>\nBeing a valued soloist, Roksana Kwasnikowska has given a great number of concerts in Europe (France, Estonia, Italy, Czech Republic, Germany, Switzerland, Austria), Asia (China, South Korea, Japan) and North America. She was hosted twice in one of the world’s most renowned auditoriums \u2013 the Carnegie Hall.<\/h4>\nAs a soloist she made an appearance with e.g. the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra (NOSPR), Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra, Lviv National Philharmonic Orchestra, Jan\u00e1\u010dek Symphony Orchestra in Ostrava.<\/h4>\nRoksana Kwa\u015bnikowska also actively contributes to chamber music projects. In 2016, together with her ensemble, the Chopin Piano Quintet which she joined in 2013, she released an album with Robert Schumman and Dmitri Shostakovich piano quintets (DUX publishing house). Since 2019 she has been first violinist of Lutoslawski Quartet.\u00a0Roksana also cooperates as a concertmistress of the Chopin University Chamber Orchestra.<\/h4>\nHer artistic achievements brought her three awards of the Mayor of Koszalin as well as the distinction of the Young Artist of the Year<\/em>\u00a0in 2011. Roksana was granted the scholarships of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage as well as of the Pro Polonia Society<\/em>\u00a0foundation. Additionally, she is a two-time winner of the Mloda Polska<\/em> programme.<\/h4>\nRoksana has deveoloped her artistic skills during numerous masterclasses both in Poland and abroad.\u00a0 Roksana\u2019s musical development was supervised by prominent violinists such as Jan Stanienda, Stephan Picard and Dora Schwarzberg.<\/h4>\nRoksana successfully graduated from under Prof. Jan Stanienda and the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music. She was awarded with Magna cum Laude medal which is traditionally granted to the graduate who reached the greatest artistic achievements. Currently Roksana works as a lecturer at her alma mater.<\/h4>\nRoksana plays Johann Augustin Wagner violin from 2009.<\/h4>\n

AGATA DOBRZA\u0143SKA\u00a0\u00a0was born in 1994 in Katowice. She began learning to play the cello at the age of seven in the class of Alicja Murzynowska. For 10 years she studied under the supervision of Pawe\u0142 G\u0142ombik, a professor at the Academy of Music in Katowice.<\/p>\n
In 2018, she graduated with honours from MA studies at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw in the class of Prof. Tomasz Strahl. She has been a scholarship holder of the Polish Children’s Fund, Mayor of the City of Katowice, Ministry of Culture and National Heritage (under the Young Poland and Pro Polonia programmes). She is a laureate of a number of national and international competitions, including the 3rd prize at the Cello and Double Bass Tournament in Warsaw (2010) and first prize with distinction at the same competition (2014), as part of which she performed with the orchestras of the Lower Silesian Philharmonic, Zielona G\u00f3ra Phil- harmonic, Silesian Philharmonic, and at festivals such as the Warsaw Lutospheres<\/em>\u00a0or the Krystyna Jamroz Festival in Busko-Zdr\u00f3j; multiple awards in 5 editions of the Young Instrumentalists’ Forum in Rybnik (the 2nd prize twice, 4th prize, and 1st prize); the 3rd prize at the International Cello Competition in Ko\u0161ice; the 1st prize at the International Competition Talenty pro Europu<\/em>\u00a0in Doln\u00fd Kub\u00edn. She is also an active chamber musician: with the Monet Quartet string quartet, with which she mainly performs in Warsaw, she won the 1st prize at the Chamber Music Tournament in Bydgoszcz (2015).<\/p>\nShe has been developing her skills under the guidance of outstanding teachers, including Claus Reichardt, Gotthard Popp, Kazimierz Michalik, Andrzej\u00a0Bauer, Roman Jab\u0142o\u0144ski, Izabella Sza\u0142aj-Zimak, Marek Czech, Radim Sedmidubski, and the Scharoun Ensemble, consisting of the leaders of the Berlin Philharmonic.<\/p>\n
Currently, Agata is a cellist of the National Philharmonic Orchestra in Warsaw (since 2017) and cooperates with the Sinfonia Varsovia Orchestra.<\/p>\n

ANDRZEJ KARA\u0141OW\u00a0is a Polish pianist, composer and improviser based in Warsaw. He is a graduate of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw in the composition class of Prof. Stanis\u0142aw Moryto and the piano class of Prof. Bronis\u0142awa Kawalla. Doctor of musical arts. Since 2016 he is an assistant professor at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw. He trained hi interpretive skills on piano masterclasses, among others, in Oxford, Montreal, Valencia, Bergen, Imola, Leipzig, Nice, Duszniki Zdr\u00f3j, under the tutelage of professors such as Beat Furrer, Toshio Hosokawa, Chaya Czernowin, Zygmunt Krauze, Stefano Gervasoni, Mikhail Vosskresensky, Boris Petrushansky, Arie Vardi, Gary Graffman and others.<\/p>\n
He is a laureate of many Polish and international piano (i.a. in Paris, Athens, and Warsaw) and composition (Katowice, Warszawa, Pozna\u0144, Miskolc) competitions.<\/p>\n
In 2020 he released his metaopera\/mystery\u00a0De invitatione mortis\u00a0<\/em>(Chopin University Press) which was nominated to the Fryderyk 2021 Award in Oratorio and Opera cathegory. Earlier he released two free-improvised albums: in 2020\u00a0Pedestal\u2019s Complement\u00a0<\/em>(Bocian Records, live concert) and,\u00a0in 2018,\u00a0Wir\u00a0<\/em>(Requiem Records<\/em>) in electroacoustic duo collaboration with Jerzy Prze\u017adziecki. In 2019, along with saxophonist Pablo S\u00e1nchez Escariche Gasch, he released a CD album\u00a0After All\u00a0<\/em>(Requiem Records) with music by Szymanowski, Hindemith, Albright, Rydzewska, and by himself. He also released his monographic album\u00a0Through\u00a0<\/em>with chamber works released\u00a0<\/em>by renowned label DUX.\u00a0Recordings of his works and performances were released on over a dozen albums by Ablaze Records, DUX Records, Requiem Records, Chronicles of Warsaw Autumn \u2013 Festival of Contemporary Music and others.<\/p>\nHis works are performed in country and abroad during concerts and festivals in the USA, Australia, Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, Spain, Germany, France, Russia, Italy, Estonia and Hungary. For 2018\/19 season he was selected to work with London Philharmonic Orchestra during LPO Young Composers mentoring program, which resulted in premiere performance of his orchestral work Veins<\/em>\u00a0in Southbank Centre in London under direction of Sir James MacMillan.<\/p>\nHe is a laureate of several scholarships, including prestigious Young Poland Scholarship, Pro Polonia Society Scholarship (twice), Ministry of Science and Higher Education Scholarship, as well as some university scholarships. In 2014 he received Prize of of Culture and National Heritage.<\/p>\n
